NetonTech builds and maintains the Skale Taxi passenger app and Skale driver app. The apps help passengers request taxi rides and help drivers receive, accept, and complete rides. We collect and use information only to provide, secure, and improve these services.
Information We Collect
- Account information, such as name, phone number, user or driver ID, driver login code, and authentication tokens.
- Ride information, such as pickup location, destination, pickup and destination addresses, ride status, ride history, selected vehicle, notes, ratings, and optional comments.
- Location information, including precise or approximate device location, when you grant location permission. Passengers use location to request rides and share ride progress. Drivers use location to receive ride requests, navigate to passengers, and share availability or active-ride status.
- Device and notification information, such as Firebase Cloud Messaging device tokens, so we can send ride-status and operational notifications.
- Technical information, such as app activity needed to keep you signed in, synchronize ride status, protect sessions, diagnose errors, and maintain service reliability.
How We Use Information
- Create, verify, and manage passenger and driver accounts.
- Process ride requests, match passengers with drivers, show ride status, calculate route distance, and maintain ride history.
- Share passenger pickup details with assigned drivers and share driver details and location with passengers during relevant ride flows.
- Send transactional notifications about login, ride requests, ride updates, and driver activity.
- Protect accounts, refresh secure sessions, prevent misuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve the apps.
Location Use
The apps request location permission before accessing device location. Location may be collected while the app is open and, during active rides or active driver availability, through a foreground location service with a visible notification. We do not use location for advertising.
Sharing Information
- With passengers and drivers as needed to provide the taxi service, such as sharing pickup details, driver details, vehicle details, and active ride status.
- With our backend service providers that host, process, store, and secure app data for the service.
- With Google services used by the app, including Google Maps, Places, Geocoding, Google Play services location APIs, and Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- When required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate notice.
Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. Authentication tokens stored on the device are encrypted with Android system security features, and the apps use HTTPS endpoints for backend and Google API communication.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep account, ride, and operational records for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent misuse, and maintain business records. You may request access, correction, or deletion of your account information by contacting us. Some records may be retained where required by law or legitimate operational needs.
Children
The apps are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Choices
- You can deny or revoke location and notification permissions in Android settings, but some ride and driver features may not work without them.
- You can log out of the app to clear locally stored session data and unregister the device token where supported.
- You can contact us to request account deletion or ask privacy questions.
